Pottery. What a delight-the feel of the clay when preparing it,the throwing, trimming, glazing and firing. Then to markets or selling online. The contact and connection with people during the selling process is special and inspiring.

Each new potter I meet or am exposed to teaches me life lessons as well as pottery skills and ideas which is a never ending eye opening experience.I am indebted to all my teachers but especially my first, Jim Srubeck at the University of New Mexico while I was pursuing a degree in psychology. I have strayed from the strict Japanese method he taught but still carry many traits and philosophies with me.

My main endeavor in life heart work has been having a petsitting business for 25 years. Hence, the name of the pottery business. Crossed paws on any creature evoke a sense of tranquility and grace. And the logo are the paws surrounded by an open enso symbolizing strength, elegance and the void. My dog friends have enabled me to spend a lot of time in nature-a never ending inspiration.

My home and studio are in the Sawmill neighborhood in Albuquerque,New Mexico which is close to the bosque and Rio Grande river allowing easy visits for more natural inspiration.

I love making functional items to be used and a part of daily lives.
